Awesome! Meanwhile, here in the U.S. we have “cash for clunkers” – an ineffective federal program to subsidize the car finance industry (and to a much lesser extent, auto manufacturers), and get consumers into even more debt.

I’ll recycle my still-excellent 1995 car when the gov’t offers me $3500, and not a day sooner or a dollar less.

Wake up people: the creation of a new car’s steel, glass, fabric, etc creates much more pollution than comes out the exhaust pipe from just keep running the old car a few more years.

The real solution is that we need modular cars where we can swap old major components with newer ones (like engines).
